Pashputinath Temple in Kathmandu. I spent the day exploring the ancient city with this sadhu and his friend from Varanasi. See my journal for more info.

Ive been there, know how hard to get this shot would have been (lots of people on sacrifice days).

How often are you in Nepal. Personally i have a soft spot, love Kopan monestry, looking over the valley, with eagles playing over the village way below. check it out next time your there.

He exudes peaceful joy and friendship.

Love it. Is that actually a hall of mirrors behind him, or is there a deeper significance to the title?

That is indeed the famous 'hall of mirrors' within the Pashputinath temple.

Is there any meaning behind the stance he is in? In other words, do those hand gestures mean anything?
