Reflections of the high Himalaya. This lake is far off the trail to Everest Base camp in Nepal. When the sun sets in the dusty plains of India, there can be amazing alpenglow but there can also be a spectacular 'tobacco sky' at twilight after the alpenglow fades. I'd seen it before but this was my first successful photo of it.
beautiful place, i would think you must have had more beautiful shots before, but trick is to get what we feel is successful. i feel that for my photos, and am rarely satisfied with them, but compared to yours i could probably delete all
The mountain are so high (25,000 feet) the snow reflects the horizon twilight long after the sun goes down. That's what makes the dawn and dusk images so unique there!
I was trying to make a joke about a huge flash that was something like 10 km to east, I guess I fail. I didn't even think about that you had post processed it.
